Word got out about our plan to split the year — clothing optional for the summer, swimsuits and cover-ups the rest of it. You wrote in by the hundreds and told us exactly what you thought of that. You were right, and we agree. Here's the whole picture, and what we'd like to do instead. ​

An adults-only mineral spring resort, clothing optional. We like being that. We're not looking to stop.
THE PROBLEM – MID-WEEK OCCUPANCY
When we went clothing optional, midweek bookings didn't dip. They stopped. Southern California's hotel market is millions of people. Our community is a few thousand — and most of you only come for weekends.
We did the math and it's not pretty. That left two ways out: open midweek to conventional guests, or raise weekend rates on our own community. We didn't want to do either one to you.

Arrive any day but Monday and stay four nights, with a Friday or Saturday among them. The second of your weeknights is on us — no charge, no catch.
Four-night minimum including at least one Friday or Saturday. The second weeknight — Sunday through Thursday — is free. Blackout dates apply on holiday weekends, Coachella and Stagecoach.
